Quick Start Guide

Get your first product configured in 4 steps.

Step 1: Connect Your Store

Before configuring products, connect your ecommerce platform so products and pricing stay in sync.

  1. Go to SettingsIntegrations
  2. Select your platform (Magento, Centra, or Shopify)
  3. Enter your API credentials
  4. Test the connection

Step 2: Sync Products

Once connected, pull your product catalogue into Builda:

  1. Go to Sync Data
  2. Click Sync Products to import from your store
  3. Verify products appear in the Products section

Product sync maps your ecommerce products into Builda so you can attach configurations to them.

Step 3: Configure a Product

  1. Go to Products and select a product
  2. Add Configuration Steps — the stages your customer walks through
  3. Add Components to each step — the parts being personalised
  4. Assign Customisations to components — the options available (colours, materials, text, etc.)
  5. Set up SKU Logic — map customisation combinations to your inventory SKUs
  6. Optionally, create Presets — curated starting configurations

Step 4: Preview & Publish

  1. Use the Preview to see the customer experience
  2. Verify pricing updates correctly at each step
  3. Publish when ready — the configurator goes live on your storefront
